Fort Worth, Texas - Mable Lee Bohannon, 76, of Fort Worth Texas, was born April 1, 1942 to Earnest Goodloe Sr. and Josephine Harris Goodloe. She departed this life, October 11, 2018 in Fort Worth, TX.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers, 2 sisters, a stepdaughter, and her loving husband Jimmie Lee Bohannon.

She leaves to cherish her memory, a daughter, Jan Evelyn Walker, a, step daughter, Bonnie Hence (Calvin); three sons, Curtis Goodloe , Danny R Bohannon, Ronnie D Bohannon; a brother, Chester L Goodloe , 4 sisters, Lillie Mae Bridgeforth , Geraldine Valladares (Francisco) , Viola Jordan and Vera Collier (Charles); 25 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 2 great- great grand children ; a very special friend Carol Brown Taylor and family, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service for Ms. Bohannon will be Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 11:00 am at Myrtle Street Church of Christ in Wabbaseka. The body will lie in state from 10:15 am until time of service.

Kenneth Gridley

Little Rock - Kenneth Ray Gridley, Little Rock, Ark. (formerly of Altheimer) transitioned from his earthly home to his heavenly home on Sunday, October 14, 2018.

He was proceeded in death by his mother, Christine Greer; his father; sisters, Diane Lewis and Margaret "Cookie" Simpson-Bohannon.

He leaves to cherish his memoreis: wife of 39 years, Mary Gridley; sons, Mark (Anne) Gridley, Adrian (Alexis) Tensley, Deston Tensley; daughters, Nakita Haymer, Traschell Hubbard-Barnes, Lasearcy "Danielle" Galloway, Crystal (Virgil) Gridley, Ebony Johnson-Gridley; sisters, Debra (Ray) Webster, Carolyn Simpson, Latoya (Jullian) Boyland, Rose (Ben) Singleton, Jackie (Frank) Walker; a special niece, Telisha McDowell; 32 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was a member of the graduating class of 1973 of Altheimer High School.

Family hour will be from 6-7 p.m., today, October 19, 2018 at Robinson Mortuary-South, 6400 Mabelvale Pike, Little Rock, AR and funeral will be at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Greater Paradise Covenant Church, 3023 W. 12th Street with Bishop Kenny Wright officiating. Velma Vanlandingham

Velma Elizabeth Dye Vanlandingham, of White Hall, passed from this life October 17, 2018 at the age of 95 at Hospice Home Care Center in Little Rock.

Velma was born on March 24, 1923 at Lula, Mississippi to the late Charley Hilliard Dye and Roxie Ann McFalls Dye. Velma is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Tillman Vanlandingham; a son, Paul Vanlandingham; daughter-in-law, Marian Vanlandingham; granddaughter, Saundra Vanlandingham; and 18 brothers and sisters.

Velma is survived by her son, Billy D. Vanlandingham of North Little Rock; daughter Jeri (Jim) McBeth of Boerne, Texas; 2 grandsons, David Vanlandingham (Shelley), Paul Allen Vanlandingham (Michelle); 4 granddaughters, Kim Squires (Monty), Tracy Rowland (Jeff), Stacy Savage (Craig/deceased), and Shannon Flowers (Jeff); 5 great grandsons; 8 great granddaughters; and 2 great-great granddaughters.

Velma grew up on a farm where she learned about hard work, and Love of God and Country. Velma’s life revolved around her Church, children and grandchildren.

The “greatest generation” has lost another one. Though she has moved beyond our line of sight today, no day shall erase our memory of her where she will remain a treasure forever in our hearts. She lived her life that would be pleasing to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, whom she had placed her faith and trust in. She was a member of Hardin Baptist Church in White Hall, and was the oldest member at the time of her death. She worked at Ben Pearson’s Archery and at the Pine Bluff Arsenal.

Velma was an avid gardener, quilter and crafter for many years. She taught her daughter, Jeri, how to quilt, and together they quilted many quilts, giving them to family members. She taught quilting classes to members of the Hardin Baptist Church’s quilter’s club. She was an excellent cook, seamstress, and had a green thumb with plants.

Visitation will be 10:00-11:00 AM Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Hardin Baptist Church in White Hall, with services to follow at 11:00 AM. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in Pine Bluff. Online condolences at www.ralphrobinsonandson.com.

Kim Harwell

Kim Annette Harwell, 56, of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2018.

She was born May 22, 1962, in Little Rock, to Kit Scott and Shirley Ann Banks Harwell.

Kim graduated from Watson Chapel High School in 1980. She attended Ouachita Baptist University and graduated from JRMC Nursing with an RN degree.

She had worked as an RN for 20 plus years. Kim loved helping people and was a great nurse. She was so compassionate and caring and a blessing to so many inside and outside of the hospital.

Kim was a member of the Watson Chapel Baptist Church

She was preceded in death by her parents Kit and Shirley Harwell.

Survivors include her sister, Nancy Harwell Weaver and husband Keith of Brinkley, nephews and nieces, Blake Barnes of Mountain Home, Sarah Garner and husband Adam of Little Rock, Rachel Pottorff and husband Nathan of Brinkley, Mitchell Weaver and wife Jessica of Des Arc; Jackson Weaver of Clarendon; great nephew Banks Garner and a great niece, Azlee Weaver. She is also survived by “her boys” Lucky and Domino.

Visitation will be Saturday, 1 pm until service time at Watson Chapel Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be Saturday, October 20, 2018, 2:30 PM, at Watson Chapel Baptist Church with Reverend Todd Howard officiating.

Burial will follow in Fitzhugh Cemetery.

Loyd Thomas

William Loyd Thomas, 66, of White Hall, passed away Thursday, October 18, 2018.

Born March 30, 1952 in Hot Springs, he was the son of the late Floyd Wilburn Thomas and Gloria Jaqueline Ackerman Thomas.

A member of First Baptist Church, Loyd was a Godly man and a student of the word.

He was a painting contractor, a trade he learned from his father whom he worked along side of for several years.

He enjoyed working in his yard, visiting with family and friends, and spoiling grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant sister, Robinette; Sister, Floyce Boykin; and brother-in-law, Jimmy Adco*ck.

He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Linda Holderfield Thomas; daughter, Tina Sherman Burton (Tony); sisters, Patricia Adco*ck, Vonda Boykin (Richard), Danita Anderson (John); four grandchildren, Chase, Lauren, Ty and Alyssa; and many other loving family and friends.

Funeral Services will be Monday, October 22nd, 2:00 p.m., at Robinson & Fuller White Hall Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Rowell Cemetery.

Visitation will be Sunday, 2-4 p.m. at the funeral home.

Ms. Linda Faye Butler, 67, of Pine Bluff, AR passed Thursday, October 11, 2018. She was born October 16, 1950 in Moscow, AR to the late Curtis and Martha (Scull) Butler, Sr..

She leaves to cherish her memories: two brothers, Curtis Butler, Jr. and Bobby Butler Sr. (both of Pine Bluff, AR); and a sister, Judy Butler (Santa Clarita, CA).
